Descrizione

Cresce fino a una lunghezza totale di 44 cm, ha una livrea bruno-arancio con marezzatura più o meno marcata. Il nome specifico onora il capo di una spedizione al lago Tanganica, il biologo John Edmund Sharrock Moore (1870-1947).

Diffusione

È endemico del lago Tanganica dove è una specie poco visibile che si nasconde tra le rocce o nei sedimenti nella zona litoranea.
